The role
As a Senior Integration & Test Engineer, you will lead the integration, verification and validation of autonomous UAV platforms. You will ensure seamless interaction between hardware, firmware, software and algorithms across lab, simulation and flight environments, contributing directly to the delivery of reliable, safety-critical systems.
Your missions
- Lead end-to-end system integration and validation of UAV platforms (flight controllers, companion computers, sensors, radios, payloads)
- Perform hardware and system bring-up, interface validation and root-cause analysis across HW/FW/SW layers
- Define and execute test strategies (unit, subsystem, system) for bench, HIL/SIL and field testing
- Develop and maintain HIL/SIL testbeds and automated test pipelines
- Plan and execute flight test campaigns; analyze telemetry and drive corrective actions
- Support certification and compliance activities (EMC/EMI, safety, verification documentation)
- Promote CI/CD-driven testing, reliability improvement and cross-team integration efficiency
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, Computer Science or similar)
- 5+ years of experience in UAV, robotics or embedded system integration & testing
- Strong hands-on experience with UAV platforms (PX4 / ArduPilot, Jetson, sensors, radios)
- Solid knowledge of embedded interfaces and protocols (CAN, UART, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, MAVLink)
- Experience with HIL/SIL environments and simulators (PX4 SITL, Gazebo, jMAVSim, MATLAB/Simulink)
- Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, basic C/C++)
- Comfortable with lab equipment and system-level debugging
- Used to working with Git, CI/CD tools, JIRA and technical documentation
- Fluent technical English
Nice to have
- Experience with autonomous flight testing and mission planning tools
- Knowledge of ROS/ROS2 and advanced test automation frameworks
- Exposure to certification standards (DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160)
- Experience coordinating complex or multi-disciplinary test activities
