Senior Software Engineer

Join our new team and work closely with Andreas in enhancing our product knowledge and classification capabilities. As a newly formed team, you will help set ways of working and create our technical roadmap to support our organization and information retrieval teams.

About The Role And Day-to-day

This role is a diverse one. What you will be up to might differ depending on the needs of other teams in the organization. As a subsystem team in an organization inspired by Team Topologies you will be collaborating with other teams and owning our Classifier, which enables top-tier product recommendations, navigation, and search.

Some things are constant, though. You, together with the team, will be responsible for evaluating new technologies to ensure we stay on par in an environment that is rapidly evolving. With ownership of our classifier comes a focus on the platform and on enabling classifications to be made using modern technologies in a scalable and cost-effective way.

You’ll be working e.g. on design & architecture, writing code, and monitoring, to bring the team’s ideas to life. We do not strive to push out features as fast as possible, but balance delivery with a quality mindset, beta testing, and aligning user expectations.

Some of the things you'd be up to:

• Development, writing code in Java! ☕️
• Centralize deep technical expertise within machine learning, knowledge graph structures, NLP, and LLM models
• Prompt Engineering
• Taking part in setting our technical roadmap
• Contribute to design discussions and architectural decisions, and make sure the service is built using best practices
• Create semantically enriched product classification, leveraging AI for automation, and deliver actionable product knowledge to stakeholders
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement through prototyping and evaluating new technologies

So, who are you?

You have a genuine interest in tech, you're motivated by the problem-solving process, and you navigate a landscape with different stakeholders with excellence to drive projects forward. We believe important skills to thrive in the team are fearlessness when it comes to navigating the unknown, great communication skills, and a liking for exploration and new initiatives!

Besides those personal skills, we believe you have the following:

• A Master's degree in Computer Science, or a comparable industry career
• Super driven and curious developer
• Experience with machine learning, knowledge graph structures, NLP, and LLM models
• And most importantly, passion for what you do
