Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – GIS to join their team and help build next-generation maritime simulation tools. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative solutions that make operations safer, smarter, and more immersive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop advanced GIS and 3D modelling tools
• Architect scalable solutions using Python and C#
• Collaborate with UX designers, simulation experts, and 3D artists
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices
• Enhance workflows, documentation, and CI/CD processes

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Python for tooling and automation
• Experience with GIS platforms (QGIS, ArcGIS)
• Knowledge of PostGIS and spatial data management
• Familiarity with Blender for 3D asset processing
• Understanding of coordinate systems, vector/raster data, and terrain processing
• Bonus: Experience with plugins, maritime simulation, or Blender automation
