Senior iOS Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior iOS Developer with at least 9+ years of experience to join our dynamic team and take the lead in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative mobile applications for our esteemed clients. This role requires a profound understanding of iOS development, with a strong focus on creating high-performance and user-friendly applications that provide exceptional experiences on Apple devices. As a Senior iOS Developer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other developers to conceptualize and implement features that meet user needs. Your expertise will be essential in providing technical guidance, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring adherence to best practices in code quality and development processes.

In this role, you will

• Design and develop advanced applications for the iOS platform using Swift and Objective-C.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Maintain and improve existing codebase for robustness, scalability, and performance.
• Mentor and guide junior developers to enhance their technical skills and code quality.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  
  

Required skills: what you need to be considered

• Minimum 9+ years of experience as a Senior iOS Developer or similar role with a strong portfolio of published applications.
• Expertise in Swift and Objective-C programming languages.
• In-depth knowledge of iOS frameworks such as UIKit, Core Data, Core Animation, and Core Graphics.
• Experience with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.

Salary And Other Compensation

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $74,250 – 117,500 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.

Working arrangements

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week in a client office in Toronto, ON. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
