Job Description

TD Prime Services is seeking an experienced Front Office Full-Stack Trading System Developer to join our expanding engineering team.

The shortlisted candidate will work across our backend trading services, APIs, and front-end client applications, helping to design and deliver scalable, high-performance systems used by institutional clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the stack and has an interest in electronic trading.

As the team covers multiple aspects of the business, the candidate will have to wear many hats, so the ability to multi-task, as well as strong communication and organizational skills, are critical. The individual must also balance an independent, proactive work ethic with a strong team mentality. Collaboration across the organization, communication, and idea generation are key, as are strong technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using C# (.NET 8/10).
• Build intuitive, responsive user interfaces in React + TypeScript.
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
• Implement new features across full-stack trading applications.
• Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams on API design and integration.
• Troubleshoot performance issues across services, databases, and UIs.
• Work with modern DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and cloud tooling.
• (Optional but valuable) Work with FIX protocol, order routing, drop copies, and trading workflows.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in C# / .NET (ASP.NET Web API, background services, messaging).
• Solid experience with React and modern front-end development (TypeScript, hooks, state management).
• Robust understanding of SQL Server, query optimization, and relational schema design.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong debugging skills and comfort working in distributed systems.
• Ability to own features from design to deployment.
  
  

Bonus / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with FIX protocol
• Experience in trading systems, fintech, OMS/EMS, or market data.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).
• Experience with Azure, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Exposure to low-latency or high-throughput environments.
