Eligibility: Open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents (PR) only
Are you passionate about building secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems? Join our team in Singapore as a Backend Engineer and work on mission-critical, cloud-native applications in a fast-paced Agile environment.
💡 What You’ll Do:
🔹 Design and develop backend services, APIs, and microservices
🔹 Build scalable, cloud-native systems with high reliability
🔹 Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery
🔹 Optimize system performance, observability, and scalability
🔹 Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance standards
🔹 Contribute to architecture decisions and technical improvements
⚙️ Core Technical Skills:
✔️ Strong experience in Java, Python, Golang, Node.js, Kotlin, or Ruby
✔️ Expertise in REST APIs, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets
✔️ Hands-on experience with microservices & distributed systems
✔️ Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB)
☁️ Cloud, DevOps & Infrastructure:
✔️ Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
✔️ Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
✔️ Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD)
📡 Messaging, Observability & Performance:
✔️ Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ
✔️ Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK
✔️ Strong skills in performance tuning, caching, and system optimization
🧪 Engineering Practices:
✔️ Experience with TDD, pair programming, and code reviews
✔️ Proficiency in testing frameworks (JUnit, PyTest, Jest, Playwright)
✔️ Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) & XP practices
🌟 Nice to Have:
✨ Exposure to event-driven architectures & serverless workflows
✨ Experience with blockchain or smart contracts
✨ Familiarity with API gateways, service mesh architectures
🎓 Qualifications:
✔️ Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
