SENIOR FULLSTACK .NET ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client operates as a consulting and custom software development firm that focuses on regulated sectors. Typically, their clients seek high-end software development services, with the firm providing top-tier warranties. Consequently, the client has established a solid reputation in the industry for creating solutions that meet specifications with very few software defects. They are recognized as the leading software developer in Australia.

Some team members are based in Australia, so you’ll need to start your workday at 2:00 PM AEST (7:00 - 15:00 Ukraine time) to ensure participation in the daily stand-up handover.

Requirements

5+ years of commercial experience in full-stack development.
Strong experience with C# and .NET (preferably .NET 9 or later).
Experience with .NET Framework (4.0 – 4.7.2) or higher.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server (intermediate level acceptable).
Knowledge of ASP.NET MVC and Razor views.
Knowledge of frontend frameworks, preferably Angular.
Understanding of building Azure Functions.
Understanding of building reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Experience developing Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), particularly offline-first applications.
Experience developing or maintaining VB.NET Windows applications (working with .NET desktop applications).

NICE TO HAVE

Experience with Cursor or VSCode for agentic development.
Understanding of WCF services.
Some experience with VB.NET.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
Exposure to Azure infrastructure deployment using Bicep.
Familiarity with Crystal Reports.

Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance established VB.NET Windows applications and .NET Framework (4.0–4.7.2) web solutions.
Refactor and migrate legacy WCF services and ASP.NET MVC (Razor) codebases toward modern .NET 9 architectures.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex business logic within older desktop and web environments to ensure high availability.
Design and optimize relational database schemas and stored procedures within SQL Server.
Author and manage sophisticated business reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to provide actionable data insights.
Ensure data integrity across hybrid environments where legacy desktop apps and modern web apps share a common database.
Leverage agentic development tools (such as Cursor or VS Code AI extensions) to accelerate legacy code refactoring, bug detection, and unit test generation.
Conduct thorough code reviews.
