purpose |

To provide clear and compelling leadership for the teams and suppliers involved in the running of wagamama’s technology products and services, all associated security and compliance, and take an active leadership role in the delivery of all technology change

The tech director will play a pivotal role in driving the technological innovation and strategy for our product-centric organisation and will oversee the entire technology stack, ensuring that it aligns with our product roadmap and business objectives. leadership will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure technology solutions that enhance our product offerings and customer experience

key accountabilities |

technology strategy: develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that supports the company's product vision and business goals including a sourcing model that outlines the role that our partners/suppliers will play.

product development: collaborate closely with product teams (restaurant technology, back-office technology, infrastructure + head office technology to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable technology solutions.

technology supplier management: maintain objective scorecard measurements across all key supplier relationships and ensure that regular governance and oversight is in place through the product management teams.

infrastructure management: oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our it infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. ensure that our head office location is managed and well maintained and that all business functions have the use of effective an fit-for-purpose technology.

technology stack: evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools to support product development and operations.

cloud adoption: drive the adoption of cloud-based + saas technologies to improve scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

innovation: foster a culture of innovation by exploring new technologies and trends that can enhance our products and services.
