Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Consultant to join our team for a leading automotive company based in Kawagoe, Japan. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) with specific experience in customer EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). This role requires fluency in Japanese or local language, and a good command of English for written communication.

• Lead the implementation and support of the SAP SD module with a focus on customer EDI processes, ensuring seamless integration with the business operations.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications within the SAP SD environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver solutions that meet business needs in the automotive industry.
• Provide guidance and best practices for optimizing order-to-cash processes, pricing, shipping, and billing using SAP SD.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the SAP SD module and EDI connections to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Support end-users by providing training, developing documentation, and assisting with day-to-day SAP SD operations.
• Stay updated on the latest SAP SD developments and industry trends to continuously improve system performance.
  
  

Qualifications

• Japanese resident or local language proficiency is required.
• Strong expertise in SAP SD, with hands-on experience in customer EDI integration.
• Good command of English for written/speaking communication.
• Proven experience in SAP SD configuration, order management, pricing, and billing processes.
• Automotive industry background is a strong advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with on-site presence in Kawagoe, Japan.
• Previous experience working with SAP projects in the automotive sector.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
