Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analytics Engineer to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analysing data to generate insights that support business decisions.

Key to the role is the ability to ensure consistent, robust management of data, from source, through transformations to reporting tools with appropriate development of data dictionaries, glossaries and supporting assets along the way.

You will work closely with the CTO/CIO to find insights that drive company and customer outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Consolidate and manage the ingestion of large datasets from multiple sources for analysis
• Identify trends and patterns in data and build machine learning and AI support to identify these patters for pro-active alerts
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to support business functions
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and deep dives into data to support decision-making
• Identify opportunities for data-driven improvements
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing best practices in data management
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear reports and visualisations
• Assist in the automation of data collection and reporting processes
  
  

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field
• Excellence in SQL queries
• Experience building full-stack data applications
• Proven experience in data visualisation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  
  

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in React.js for building interactive data visualization dashboards
• Strong node.js and Python programming skills
• Advanced MySQL knowledge including query optimization and data modeling
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and REST API development
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Platform, BiqQuery and Gemini
• Machine learning and pattern matching
• Experience with React data visualization libraries (bizcharts and Recharts)
• Knowledge of API development and microservices architecture
