Accountant - Workday Financials

Introduction to the Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant with hands-on Workday Financials experience.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated finance team, managing day-to-day accounting operations while leveraging your expertise in Workday Financials. You will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, smooth accounting processes, and effective collaboration across departments. This position is ideal for candidates who thrive in a structured finance environment but also enjoy contributing to process improvements and ERP optimizations.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations
• Utilize Workday Financials for transaction processing, reporting, and data analysis
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
• Assist with process improvements and the implementation of ERP best practices

Desired Qualifications

• Proven experience as an accountant, preferably with hands-on Workday Financials experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience in day-to-day transactional accounting and financial reporting
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus
