We provide critical services and solutions to European & national agencies and institutions, the scientific community, the commercial sector, as well as to the wider public. Secure systems depend on how they are built and operated. At CGI, we support the planning and execution of national and international space missions by integrating security into modern development and operational practices. Our work focuses in particular on the space ground segment, where reliability and security are essential.

As a Junior DevSecOps Engineer (m/f/d), you will learn how to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and operational environments. You will work with modern technologies such as cloud platforms, container solutions and automation tools, collaborating with developers, operations specialists and security experts.

You will gradually take ownership of tasks and improvements, supported by a team that values knowledge sharing, practical learning and continuous development.

Aufgaben

As a Junior DevSecOps Engineer (m/f/d), you contribute to the integration of security into development and operational processes within space projects. Your tasks include:

• Support in the implementation and operation of security mechanisms in CI/CD pipelines
• Assistance in integrating automated security checks into development workflows
• Contribution to vulnerability analysis and remediation activities
• Support in maintaining secure cloud and container environments
• Collaboration with development and operations teams to implement security requirements
• Assistance in analysing security incidents and deriving improvement measures
• Support in ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and guidelines
  
  

Qualifikation

Qualification

• Basic knowledge or strong interest in DevOps, software development and IT security
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g. GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Understanding of container technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Initial exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP)
• A completed or ongoing degree in computer science, IT security or a comparable field
• Willingness to learn and work in dynamic project environments
• Very good German and English language skills

• Experience with security scanning tools (e.g. Snyk, SonarQube, OWASP ZAP)
• Basic scripting or programming skills (e.g. Python, Shell)
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
