About Your New Job

We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with strong PL/SQL expertise to join a technology team on a contract basis in Dublin. This is a hands-on role where you will design, develop, and optimise enterprise applications across both backend and frontend components.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust, scalable systems, contribute to performance tuning and optimisation, and support the full software development lifecycle within an Agile environment.

What Skills You Need

• 5+ years experience in a similar role
• Hands-on Java development experience across analysis, design, and implementation
• Strong experience with Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, REST services, transaction management)
• Experience developing and consuming REST and SOAP web services
• Strong experience with relational databases, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA and complex query development
• Experience with build and deployment tools such as Maven, Jenkins, SVN, and Sonar
• Strong understanding of performance tuning and code optimisation
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments

Desirable

• Frontend development experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, AngularJS, or jQuery
• Knowledge of Node.js and modern JavaScript tooling (NPM, Jasmine, Karma)
• Experience with Unix shell scripting
• Exposure to ETL tools such as Informatica or SSIS
• Familiarity with tools such as AutoSys, Hadoop, or AWS S3
