As a Senior Software Engineer at , you will be a key member of our engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and performant applications using Python, Django, PostgreSQL, AWS, and other technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for driving innovation in a fast-paced, agile environment.

What Responsibilities would you have?

• Design and develop scalable and robust software applications using Python and Django framework.
• Architect and implement data models, APIs, and backend services to support our SaaS platform.
• Utilize PostgreSQL and other database technologies to store, retrieve, and analyze data efficiently.
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality code.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.
• Collaborate with product management, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Drive continuous improvement through agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to enhance our software capabilities.

What background should you bring?

We're looking for a person with an appetite for learning, and the following core skillset:

• Proven experience in software development, with expertise in Python, Django, and PostgreSQL as well as a strong understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) are a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior team members.
• Proficiency in agile methodologies and experience working in an agile development environment.
• Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service) products is a plus.

Work Location Assignment:

Flexible/Hybrid - two days in the office in Dublin
