Title: Cloud Security Engineer

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Location: Dublin(Hybrid)

We are seeking a talented IT Cloud Security Engineer to join a high-performing technology team on a 12-month contract. This role is perfect for a security-focused professional passionate about protecting cloud environments and enabling secure, scalable cloud adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure cloud solutions aligned with enterprise cloud strategy
• Embed security best practices into cloud architecture, development, and deployment processes
• Develop and maintain secure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Monitor, assess, and enhance cloud security posture across platforms
• Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and frameworks
• Conduct security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments
• Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate security across the SDLC
• Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies

Technical Expertise Required:

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Deep knowledge of cloud security tools (Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel)
• Experience with cloud security frameworks (e.g., Azure Cloud Adoption Framework - CAF)
• Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM)
• Experience with Terraform (Enterprise, Sentinel, Private Module Registry)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Maven, Jenkins) with a security-first approach
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go
• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Familiarity with automation and configuration tools (Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, Salt)
• Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems, web protocols, and distributed systems

Nice to Have:

• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty / Architect)
• Experience in securing enterprise-scale cloud environments
