Full Stack Engineer

Strategic Staffing Solutions's customer is a leading asset servicing provider, working with hedge funds as well as a wide range of alternative assets, corporations, and private clients. The organization has seen strong growth across asset classes and regions, and continues to focus on maintaining high performance as it expands.

As a Fullstack Developer, you will work in a cross-functional team building cloud-native applications for financial services and regulatory reporting.

What you will do:

• Support the development and maintenance of cloud solutions for financial and regulatory reporting, Governance Risk Compliance, and internal management reporting
• Assist in implementing data integrations using APIs, connectors, and file-based interfaces
• Contribute to the automation of reporting processes (e.g., statutory, regulatory, board, and management reports) to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
• Help maintain solution documentation, templates, and reusable assets to support the broader team
• Develop API and serverless components using Python under the guidance of senior developers
• Design and develop database objects for data persistence
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Communicate progress, blockers, and questions clearly to team leads
• Stay curious about emerging technologies and how they can be applied within company's ecosystem

What you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field
• 2+ years of software engineering experience, solid foundational skills in debugging, code management, branching, and coding best practices
• 2+ years of experience with Python; familiarity with PyTest
• 1+ years of experience with ReactJS and FastAPI
• 1+ years of experience writing queries and developing database objects with RDBMS
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to support development efficiency
• Basic understanding of Microservices architecture, Design Patterns, and core software development principles
• Experience working on Agile teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and good verbal and written communication

Nice to have:

• Exposure to serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda
• Exposure to AWS services such as S3, RDS, API Gateway, SQS, IAM
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and JSON processing
• A basic understanding of financial reporting concepts (e.g., general ledger, consolidations) or risk and controls frameworks
