- Leading the full design process from discovery and research through to journey mapping, prototyping, testing, and final high-fidelity delivery.
- Conducting and supporting customer research, analysing behavioural and usage data, and translating insights into product improvements.
- Advocating for customer needs across the business and championing a strong user-centred design culture.
- Contributing to and evolving the company design system to maintain consistency, scalability, and quality across all digital products.
- Supporting and mentoring other designers, helping to raise the overall quality of design within the team.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a curious, strategic, and highly skilled Lead Product Designer who is passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences.
Experience & Expertise:
- At least 6 years of Product Design experience, ideally gained within fintech, SaaS, banking, or another high-growth technology environment.
- Strong experience designing complex digital journeys, particularly within payments, financial products, business tools, or card services.
- Proven ability to lead major design initiatives and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or managing other designers.
Design Skills:
- Deep understanding of user-centred design, design thinking, and modern product design methodologies.
- Strong capability in running workshops, facilitating design sprints, and collaborating across teams.
- Excellent UI and interaction design skills, supported by a portfolio that demonstrates high-quality, commercially focused work.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and interactive prototyping tools.
Working Style:
- Comfortable working in an agile, fast-moving environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
- Able to make informed decisions in situations with ambiguity and limited information.
- Data-driven approach to design, with experience using tools such as Looker, Heap, Google Analytics, or Hotjar to validate and improve design decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
