About the Role

We are looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to support security and compliance activities for Information Systems within one of the European institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support IT security risk assessments and maintain security documentation
• Prepare and update IT Security Plans
• Conduct security reviews and compliance assessments (ISO 27000 framework)
• Assist with audits, reporting, and certification processes
• Implement and monitor security controls and risk mitigation measures
• Provide expertise on cybersecurity technologies (e.g. IAM, security integration)
• Deliver cybersecurity awareness and training activities
• Support ongoing compliance monitoring and reporting
• Contribute to project coordination and stakeholder collaboration

Requirements

Education

• Minimum 2 years of post-secondary education

Experience & Skills

• Strong experience in cybersecurity compliance

Good knowledge of:

• ISO 27000 (or NIST equivalent)
• IT Security Risk Management (ITSRM)
• IT security policies, standards, and guidelines
• ITIL and PM2 / Agile project management
• Experience with risk assessments, audits, and security documentation
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

Certifications (at least one preferred)

• CISSP, CISA, CISM
• ISO 27001 or IT Risk certifications
• PMP / PRINCE2 / PM2
• ITIL
• Security certifications (e.g. CEH, CompTIA Security+, OSCP, GPEN)

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in an international, multicultural environment
• Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented
• High level of integrity and discretion
