About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Microsoft 365 Security Engineer to join our team and support a strategic cybersecurity initiative.

You will design, implement, and optimize security controls across Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Entra ID, and related platforms. Expected outcomes include improved threat protection, enhanced data governance, advancement of Zero Trust implementation, and operational alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage security solutions using Microsoft Defender (AV, EDR/XDR) and Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) across endpoints, identities, and cloud workloads
• Implement and maintain Microsoft Purview for data governance, information protection, and compliance monitoring
• Conduct security posture assessments and risk analysis within Microsoft 365 environments, delivering remediation plans and executive-level reports
• Drive the adoption of Zero Trust principles, including Conditional Access and identity protection
• Provide architectural governance and technical advisory across Defender XDR, Entra ID, Intune, and Purview
• Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and improve incident response processes
• Deliver workshops, training sessions, and awareness programs for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Stay up to date with evolving threats, Microsoft security roadmaps, and industry best practices

Background and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency in English is required; working knowledge of French is considered a plus
• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure security
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Entra ID, and Intune
• Strong knowledge of Zero Trust architecture, endpoint and identity security, incident response, and compliance frameworks
• Experience in security assessments, risk management, and remediation planning
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences
• Experience working on large-scale security projects and consulting engagements
• Microsoft certifications such as SC-100, AZ-500, MS-500, SC-300, or SC-200 are highly desirable
