About the Role

As the European Product Compliance Manager, you will oversee and coordinate all compliance operations for Changan's European subsidiaries. You will interpret and implement national and EU-level compliance requirements, establish operational guidelines, and act as the primary liaison with local regulatory bodies. This role requires solid knowledge of EU automotive regulations and market supervision.


Responsibilities

  • Systematically conduct research and interpretation of automotive technical regulations and compliance requirements in the European market.
  • Conduct compliance programs across Changan's subsidiaries in Germany, the UK, Spain, Italy, and other European countries.
  • Interpret and analyze national compliance requirements and ensure consistent implementation across all entities.
  • Develop compliance operation manuals, internal guidelines, and compliance checklists based on EU regulations and directives.
  • Provide expert advice on product conformity, trade compliance, and corporate governance in accordance with EU and local laws.


Requirements

  • Hold a degree in Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Vehicle Electronics with a relevant regulatory background.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in automotive compliance, homologation, or regulatory affairs.
  • Familiarity with EU vehicle type approval (Regulation (EU) 2018/858) and local market surveillance procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of product safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., REACH, WEEE, ELV), automotive carbon compliance regulations. (e.g., CBAM and Regulation (EU) 2019/631), and emerging compliance areas (e.g., AI act and Battery Regulation)
  • Experience working with regulatory authorities, certification bodies, and compliance monitoring agencies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work across cultures and departments.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
  • A structured, detail-oriented professional with a high level of integrity and accountability.
