Caddie is hiring on behalf of a fast-growing, venture-backed observability company on a mission to make observability radically easier for every developer. This company is building a go-to platform centered around OpenTelemetry, ensuring seamless interoperability across modern observability ecosystems.

Your role

The company is looking for a Principal Product Manager to own and drive one of its most strategic product initiatives. You will lead discovery to determine which customer problems are worth solving, bring deep knowledge of business constraints and the observability domain, and ensure shipped solutions are valuable, viable, and adopted.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive product discovery by regularly interacting with customers and conducting qualitative interviews with target users.
  • Contribute to solution design with strong knowledge of business constraints, customers, technical limitations, and domain expertise.
  • Own product strategy for your initiative, partnering with product leadership and executives to define roadmap and priorities.
  • Advocate for customer needs by deeply understanding challenges users face with observability tools and with the platform specifically.
  • Be accountable for outcomes. Measure and validate whether shipped solutions solve the intended problems.


Salary Range

$100,000 - $140,000 USD per year


What you bring

  • Deep observability domain knowledge, including strong familiarity with the open-source ecosystem such as OpenTelemetry and Prometheus, and awareness of industry trends across product and technology.
  • Hands-on software operations experience. You have operated non-trivial software systems and ideally continue to run software for personal or professional projects.
  • Strong data analysis skills. You have set up analytics processes and tooling and can derive insights from complex datasets.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. You clearly articulate product vision and rationale to teams, stakeholders, and executives.
  • Leadership and mentorship ability. You guide other product managers and foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.
  • Experience setting, tracking, and managing product KPIs, reporting to leadership, and aligning cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Based in or willing to work CET timezone hours.


Bonus points if you

  • Have built 0-to-1 products or led major new product bets within an existing platform.
  • Have experience in AI or ML product management.
  • Have worked in a high-growth startup environment.
