Software Engineer

SOFTWARE ENGINEER

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation team, with a focus on interoperability solutions. In this role you will design, develop, and maintain software components that enable seamless communication and data exchange across distributed simulation systems.

General Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical & Electronics

   Engineering, or a related field

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

   engineering environment

Required Skills

Languages & Paradigms

 • Good knowledge of C/C++ software development

 • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming

  (OOP) principles

 System & Network Programming

 • Familiarity with TCP/IP socket programming and the WebSocket protocol

 • Basic understanding of multi-threaded and concurrent programming concepts

 Tools & Practices

 • Experience with version control systems (Git)

 • Familiarity with Linux development environments and command-line tools

 • Exposure to debugging and profiling tools

Nice to Have

• Interest in or exposure to HLA (High Level Architecture) / DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation) and related

  interoperability standards

 • Familiarity with IEEE 1516 (HLA) and NATO STANAG standards

 • Experience writing unit tests and integration tests (e.g., Google Test, Catch2)

 • Contributions to open-source projects

 • Interest in GPU programming (CUDA)

• Familiarity with CMake or similar build systems
