Our client is a Norwegian MedTech company developing advanced, neurosurgical solutions. Essentially, their software processes medical imaging scans to deliver the visualisations that neurosurgeons rely on during complex procedures, including brain tumor surgeries.

The role

In this position, you will join as a DevOps Engineer, becoming a key member of the technical team responsible for the scalability, reliability, and security of the company’s medical imaging platform.

You will design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, as well as CI/CD pipelines, enabling fast and secure delivery to both cloud and on-premise customers. This is a strategic role where you will bridge development and operations, building a robust and automated foundation to support global growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for multiple software solutions: nordicMEDiVA, nordicAktiva, and nordicComfortPlayer.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments, ensuring reliable version control and deployment strategies.
  • Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and cost-efficiency, maintaining optimal operation for cloud and on-premise deployments.
  • Implement security best practices and assist in meeting regulatory requirements including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to define streamlined processes for infrastructure management and deployment.
  • Serve as a technical expert supporting developers in infrastructure, cloud, and deployment matters.

Required experience and qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineering, or a similar operational role.
  • Strong practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure/GCP acceptable), including networking, compute, storage, and IAM.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines in complex environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (preferably GitHub Actions).
  • Solid knowledge of Linux administration, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (ECS, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging platforms.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as MedTech, healthcare, or SaaS is a plus but not required.
  • Fluency in English.

Why this role?

  • Join an international, fast-growing team working on cutting-edge neurosurgical imaging solutions.
  • Hybrid working model: 3 days in office in Oslo, 2 days remote.
  • Competitive salary and benefits, with opportunities for professional growth as the company expands globally.
  • Be part of a mission-driven environment where your work directly improves patient outcomes.
