Frontend Developer | London, Manchester or Bristol | Remote-Friendly | £575 - £690 per day

We're working with a leading digital transformation consultancy dedicated to modernising the UK's public services on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a high-impact Frontend Developer to drive user-centered design initiatives across critical national infrastructure projects using Ruby, Python, and GDS standards.

The Role

• Lead the ownership and delivery of high-quality frontend features for large-scale public sector digital services.

• Collaborate closely with backend engineers and UI/UX designers to translate complex Figma prototypes into accessible, functional code.

• Implement robust, user-centered design principles to ensure digital services are intuitive and meet diverse citizen needs.

• Work within a fast-paced agile environment, contributing to daily stand-ups and sprint planning to hit the ground running from week one.

• Ensure all frontend deliverables adhere to the strict GDS (Government Digital Service) design systems and frameworks.

What You'll Need

• Minimum of 2+ years of professional Frontend Development experience with a strong portfolio of delivered projects.

• Technical proficiency in Python (preferred) or Ruby to effectively collaborate within a multi-language backend environment.

• Deep expertise in Accessibility standards, specifically a mastery of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).

• Hands-on experience with Figma for design handovers and a solid understanding of GDS Design Systems.

• Active SC Clearance is highly preferred (BPSS with SC eligibility is the absolute minimum requirement).
