AI Engineer (Mobile Platform)

On behalf of Pentas Vision, a subsidiary company of Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation (SSS), we are seeking for a highly skilled AI Engineer to enhance sensor capabilities on mobile platforms and develop high-performance algorithms optimized for mobile devices.

Pentas Vision specialises in the research and development of AI and in particular - Computer Vision technologies. Our core expertise lies in integrating AI solutions with diverse Image Sensors, facilitating seamless incorporation into embedded devices like mobile phones, IoT cameras, and other relevant devices.

What you will be doing:

• General encapsulation and optimization of the underlying framework; ensure the stability and efficiency of the underlying framework SDK, making it cross-platform and optimized for specific platforms.
• Skilled in co-design of algorithms and software, with experience in optimizing computer vision algorithms on mobile platforms, including both traditional and deep learning approaches.
• Responsible for the creation and optimization of engineering algorithm strategies; design and implementation of engineering algorithm strategies for industry businesses based on the algorithm SDK; optimize engineering algorithm strategies for different application scenarios.

What you should have:

• Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, electronics, or related fields.
• Proficiency in C/C++ development, solid programming skills, familiarity with common data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, and common architecture and design patterns.
• Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
• Highly organized, diligent with great attention to detail.
• Active listener, able to interpret and playback stakeholder requirements.
• Highly driven and able to work individually and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in industry with in computer science, electronics, or related fields.
• Preference for those familiar with GPU programming (OpenCL, Cuda), Linux programming and deep learning-related knowledge, image processing algorithms.
• Experience in developing and deploying mobile SDKs, with prior work experience at Qualcomm and MTK are preferred.
