We are looking for an Applied AI/ML Engineer to join a growing team building next-generation AI-powered products and services. In this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end development of intelligent systems — from early-stage research and experimentation through to production deployment at scale. You will bring both deep technical expertise and a collaborative spirit, working alongside product, engineering, and external partners to deliver solutions that matter.
What You'll Do
- Own the full development lifecycle of AI products — spanning ideation, architecture design, prototyping, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
- Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating emerging AI research and assessing its practical applicability to real-world use cases
- Build robust, maintainable software using modern cloud-native and microservices-based architectures
- Define and implement AI models and pipelines, with careful consideration of performance, fairness, explainability, and operational efficiency
- Work within agile teams, contributing to engineering best practices, peer reviews, and thorough technical documentation
- Share knowledge and expertise through the publication of technical articles, white papers, or blog posts
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with external technology partners and academic institutions
What You'll Bring
- Proven hands-on experience in applied AI/ML, with depth in one or more of the following:
- Computer Vision — image classification, object detection, segmentation, or video understanding
- Natural Language Processing — text understanding, information extraction, or semantic search
- Large Language Models (LLMs) — fine-tuning, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or LLM application development
- Speech & Audio AI — automatic speech recognition (ASR), text-to-speech (TTS), speaker diarisation, or audio classification
- Comfortable working across the AI stack — from research and experimentation to scalable production systems
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++, with practical experience using frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience deploying models across varied environments, including cloud platforms, edge devices, or mobile
- A natural collaborator who communicates complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Why This Role
- Tackle AI challenges with genuine industry relevance and real-world complexity
- Contribute to products and systems that have meaningful impact beyond the organisation
- Collaborate with a broad network of industry partners, research institutes, and academic institutions
- Be part of a team that values curiosity, continuous learning, and technical excellence
If you are deeply curious about what AI can do next and want to apply that curiosity to problems that matter, we would love to hear from you.
