Data Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, correlate, interpret, and visualize large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns.
  • Develop, formulate, and validate threat-hunting hypotheses to proactively identify potential security risks.
  • Generate actionable insights supported by clear evidence to inform operational and strategic decisions.
  • Gather, compile, and share threat intelligence with internal and external stakeholders to enable timely intervention and response.
  • Translate technical concepts, analytical findings, and investigation outcomes into clear reports and presentations for senior management and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Academic background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts and their practical applications; cybersecurity certifications are an advantage.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in data transformation, interpretation, and quantitative data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods and concepts (e.g., regression analysis, probability distributions, statistical testing) with hands-on application experience.
  • Proven experience working with databases and big data analytics platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, or Spark, including the ability to write complex SQL queries.
  • Domain knowledge in computer networking, network security, or system security is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex findings effectively.
  • Self-driven, fast learner with the ability to independently acquire knowledge in new technologies, tools, or domains.
