Network Administrator

Network Administrator | Memphis, Tennessee | Up to $85,000

A stable, long established distribution company is hiring a Network Administrator to support and maintain the network environment at its Memphis headquarters.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on networking work and wants to own the Layer 2 network environment across office, warehouse, and manufacturing operations. The position focuses heavily on switching, VLAN management, and maintaining reliable connectivity for operational systems.

You will work alongside the internal IT lead and collaborate with an external IT partner that manages more complex systems infrastructure, allowing you to focus primarily on the networking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain day to day network operations across office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments
• Own the Layer 2 network environment, including switch management, VLAN configuration, and connectivity troubleshooting
• Support wireless infrastructure including wireless access points and bridging
• Diagnose and resolve network performance and connectivity issues
• Ensure reliable connectivity for warehouse devices, production equipment, and end user systems
• Provide Level 2 end user support when required for desktop and infrastructure issues

Technical Environment

• Layer 2 networking including VLAN design, trunking, access ports, and switch management
• Wireless networking including access points and wireless bridging
• HP Aruba / ProCurve switching environments
• Ubiquiti networking equipment
• Windows Server and basic infrastructure support
• Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration

What They Are Looking For

• 5+ years of dedicated networking experience
• Strong hands on experience managing switches and troubleshooting Layer 2 environments
• Experience supporting warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred
• Comfortable acting as the primary owner of the local network infrastructure

Compensation and Benefits
