As a Human Resources Manager, you will play a key leadership role in supporting our operations at The Chedi Muscat, working in an ONSITE environment. Responsibilities
- Lead organization and participation in Hotel/GHM career open days and career fairs with local partners.
- Provide qualified job candidates through screening, interviewing, and testing applicants, as well as notify existing staff of internal opportunities.
- Maintain comprehensive personnel records, obtain temporary staff through contractors, and manage the HR payroll system.
- Handle all HR monthly reports, budgets, salary scales, departmental annual budget preparation, and work to achieve set budgets by monitoring and controlling hotel recruitment activities.
- Promote localization programs and actively support achieving "Omanization" targets set by the hotel.
- Administer programs including employee loans, medical insurance, savings bonds, and disability programs, including advising and assisting employees as needed.
- Monitor unemployment claims, review and substantiate documentation, and coordinate with legal counsel where required.
- Maintain accurate HR records of new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, salary increases, and attendance (vacation, sick, personal time).
- Facilitate orientation for new employees, explain company policies and benefits, and ensure proper completion of all employment documentation.
- Complete HR forms, reports, logs, and records accurately and on time.
- Stay current with HR best practices through ongoing learning and professional development.
- Support employee relations activities and coordinate recruitment activities to ensure candidate profiles match company standards.
- Conduct exit interviews and represent management in disciplinary, termination, or court cases.
- Ensure hotel HR actions align with local laws and safeguard all employee personal files.
- Develop and regularly review the hotel's Employee Handbook.
- Prepare standardized and high-quality offer letters, memos, and emails related to recruitment.
- Act as Manager on Duty as needed and represent the HR department at morning briefings on behalf of the Director of Human Resources.
- Experience in leading and participating in career days and job fairs with local partners.
- Proven track record in recruitment, including candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
- Hands-on experience with HR payroll systems.
- Ability to prepare and manage HR budgets, salary scales, and monthly reports.
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting "Omanization" and localization initiatives.
- Strong administrative abilities in managing employee benefits programs and HR records.
- Ability to ensure compliance with local labor laws and handle sensitive HR matters discreetly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and time management.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification, plus 7 years of related Human Resources experience.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all HR-related matters.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and listening skills.
- Proficiency in administrative writing, compensation, wage structuring, employee orientation, and benefits administration.
- Strong interviewing and professional interpersonal skills.
- Experience in record maintenance, teamwork, and supply management.
