Frontend Developer

Are you a hands-on React Frontend Developer with strong JavaScript expertise and a passion for building high-performance trading applications?

We are currently supporting a leading private banking client in Zurich that is looking for a React Frontend Developer to join a strategic trading platform team.

This is an exciting opportunity to help maintain and evolve a mission-critical front-office trading platform, while also contributing to the design and development of new frontend libraries and frameworks that will shape future platform capabilities.

You will work directly with traders, business stakeholders, and agile engineering teams, translating requirements into innovative and scalable frontend solutions.

Your responsibilities will include

Frontend Development

• Maintain and enhance the existing trading platform frontend
• Develop new reusable frontend libraries, components, and frameworks
• Build modern, scalable, and high-performance UI solutions using React
• Contribute to architecture and frontend best practices

Business Interaction & Agile Delivery

• Work closely with traders and business owners to gather new requirements
• Translate business needs into technical frontend solutions
• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Support continuous improvement of development processes and frameworks

Technical Environment

• ReactJS
• TypeScript
• JavaScript
• Node.js
• Unix / Bash scripting
• Agile delivery environment

Required experience and skills

• Strong hands-on JavaScript development experience
• Deep expertise in ReactJS
• Excellent knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js
• Understanding of Unix operating systems and Bash scripting
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience building reusable frontend libraries and frameworks
• Previous experience in the financial services industry is highly preferred
