Full Stack Web Engineer - Hybrid Melbourne - $100,000-$140,000 + Super

A Melbourne-based startup backed by a global organisation is expanding its engineering capability and looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join a growing product team. The business recently launched a high-engagement sports platform and is scaling its in-house web capability alongside a mobile team.

 

You’ll be working directly with the Senior Engineer, taking ownership of greenfield web applications, helping shape technical direction, and supporting the growth of the Melbourne engineering team.

 

What you’ll be doing

• Build and scale responsive, scalable React (Web) applications
• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js
• Work with AWS and modern CI/CD pipelines to support cloud-native applications
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and mobile engineering teams
• Influence architecture, tooling, and engineering best practices as the web platform grows

 

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience with React (Web) in production
• Strong Node.js backend experience
• Exposure to AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native services
• Comfortable being the first web hire and taking ownership in a startup environment
• Experience with full stack architecture and building scalable web platforms
• Bonus: interest in sports and consumer-facing platforms
