Full Stack Engineer

VALE Partners have been engaged by a high-growth technology startup to help grow their product engineering team in Brisbane. They're building a B2B SaaS platform at an early but meaningful stage, and this role sits at the centre of that build. This is a senior individual contributor position with ownership and influence over the direction of the tech stack.

Role Overview:

• Work in a full-stack capacity across a Laravel and Vue.js stack, owning features from design through to delivery
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and the broader engineering team to define, build, and ship meaningful platform improvements
• Contribute to and shape development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, code quality standards, and technical decision-making
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools into your daily workflow and help the broader team lift their adoption of practices that improve speed and quality

What You'll Ideally Have:

• Proven experience building modern web applications in Laravel, with strong working knowledge of Vue.js or a comparable JavaScript framework
• A track record of working with RESTful APIs, integrating third-party services, and collaborating through Git and agile workflows
• Demonstrated, habitual use of AI-assisted development tools, with the ability to prompt effectively and review AI-generated code with a critical eye
• Experience working independently in a hybrid environment, with strong opinions and the self-awareness to hold them lightly
