Profectus is seeking Scrum Masters across mid and senior levels to support a major Australian Government agency in delivering its FY2026-27 Digital Identity Program of Work. This is an opportunity to contribute to nationally significant digital infrastructure, working within multidisciplinary agile teams alongside APS staff and other vendor partners. The Agency operates a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) delivery model, and all personnel will be expected to work collaboratively in blended teams to deliver against Program Increment commitments.
Key Requirements
- Coach the team on Agile principles, Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe practices, ensuring consistent application of frameworks
- Guide the team in becoming high-performing and self-managing, while promoting accountability and ownership
- Support the team in delivering high-quality increments that meet the Definition of Done and align with PI objectives
- Facilitate Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) and ensure they are productive and time-boxed
- Track and improve flow, velocity, and predictability using team metrics and agile health indicators
- Help the team identify, escalate, and resolve impediments and blockers that hinder progress
- Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and the Release Train Engineer (RTE) to ensure alignment across teams and contribute to ART-level ceremonies (e.g. PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt)
- Promote cross-team coordination and dependency management within the ART
- Champion a culture of relentless improvement, facilitating retrospectives and driving actionable outcomes
- Act as a guardian of team boundaries, ensuring external requests are managed through appropriate channels
Desirable Experience
- Formal qualifications in SAFe Agile project delivery
- Experience implementing and supporting DevOps practices, including CI/CD, test automation, and shift-left testing
- Experience working within large-scale Australian Government ICT environments
Locations
Roles are based on-site at Agency offices in the following locations:
- ACT (Canberra)
- QLD (Brisbane)
- VIC (Melbourne)
Security Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Must hold a minimum Baseline security clearance at commencement (1 July 2026)
- NV1 clearance may be required and will be advised as applicable
- All personnel must undertake and maintain a Pre-Employment Integrity Check (PEIC)
