Senior Network Engineer

We're currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer to undertake an initial 6-month contract with further extension for one of our FMCG clients.

They are ideally looking for a highly experienced engineer with strong experience in the Cisco Meraki Platform.

Responsibilities:

Seek opportunities for functional & process improvement via automation and network identification/detection
Architect and implement Cisco Meraki solutions and to investigate and support troubleshooting efforts on SDWAN, WAN, LAN and wireless network technical issues
Provide guidance and recommendations on SDWAN and automation solution to the Network team
Document network environments, develop and deploy network policy documents

Required experience:

10+ years of proven experience in a network engineer/consultant/architect role, managing, building and designing a complex network
2+ years experience designing and deploying in Cisco Meraki environments
Certifications: Cisco CCNP or higher certification (CCIE preferred)
Skills: Strong understanding of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and technologies (MPLS, VPN)
Expertise in network automation tools (Ansible, Python, etc.)
Experience with firewall technologies
Strong expertise and experience of routing and switching platforms (Cisco Catalyst, Nexus)
Experience in tuning / optimizing network monitoring, logging and anomaly detection tools such as Extrahop, Splunk, and Thousandeye
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
