Bridge IT Engineering is seeking a Battlefield Telecommunications Network Engineer for a federal government department with offices in the ACT. The role will assist with the design, build, implementation and technical support to a range of wide area network (WAN) bearers and networking technologies in a technical hands-on role.
Key Deliverables:
- Enhance Deployable Local Area Network switching and routing.
- Build and administer mission network’s WANs based on the following technologies; FDMA /TDMA Satcom, OSPF, EIGRP and BGP routing protocols, voice / video formats including delivery, IPv4 and IPv6.
- Establish and management of Internet Protocol (IP) cryptographic nets for the secure transport.
- Enhance wideband trunking in the deployed environment.
- Contribute to the design of network topologies and inform stakeholders on the development of Land Network solution.
- Propose innovation activities to assess emerging technologies that may support a ‘future ready’ LCS.
