TypeScript & AI Developer – Vienna

About Us

We are a team of 10 people working closely together to support 40,000+ teachers across Europe. We collaborate on ideation, implementation, code review and feedback loops - both internal and with customers. We are growing now to scale our impact, working closely with users and a research partner to ensure our tools make a difference in the classroom.

The Setup

• Location: 2–3 fixed office days per week in Vienna.
• Language: Our team currently speaks mainly German, but we are open to candidates who don't speak it yet.
• Contract: All-in. Employment only. We move fast and go the extra mile.
• The Team: We are hiring for multiple roles. You don’t need to tick every box below, but you must be a master of your core area.
• Annual Salary: starting at €70,000 - overpayment depending on experience

Our Stack & Tools

We search for developers who use AI to work more efficiently but have the deep skills to maintain a high-quality codebase when the AI reaches its limits.

• Languages: TypeScript
• Frontend: Vue 3
• Backend: NestJS & PostgreSQL
• AI: LangGraph, LangChain, Langfuse, Agenta
• Infrastructure: Docker & Kubernetes

Areas of Work

You will take responsibility for features from concept to production release. Depending on your strengths, this includes:

• UX / UI: craft initial concepts and test them in feedback loops
• Frontend: Implement interfaces for teachers and students.
• Backend/DevOps: Implement our core services for data handling and AI orchestration
• AI Development: Research and develop AI to generate teaching materials and enhance lessons.

What You Bring

• 4+ years of professional experience in software development.
• AI-Native Workflow: You use AI tools daily to stay efficient, but you have the fundamental skills to verify and refactor the output to keep the quality high.
• Continuous Learning: You are constantly learning how to better make use of AI and new frameworks.
• User-Centric: You work directly with user feedback to refine the product.
• Local Presence: You live in or near Vienna and value being in the office for collaboration.
