Are you a hands‑on engineer who wants to help build scalable products at the intersection of cloud, data, and blockchain?

We’re supporting a high‑growth SaaS startup in Helsinki that is transforming how businesses manage, verify, and automate secure digital transactions. They are now looking for a Software Engineer to join their core engineering team and help take their platform to the next level.

About the Role

You will work as part of a small, ambitious engineering team responsible for the backend services, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure that power the company’s blockchain‑enabled SaaS platform.

Your work will include:

• Building scalable backend services in Python
• Developing APIs and microservices used across the platform
• Designing and maintaining cloud architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Working on integrations between the platform and blockchain networks
• Improving system reliability, observability, and automation
• Collaborating closely with product and frontend teams to deliver new features
• Participating in architectural decisions and long‑term technical strategy

This is a role where you’ll have ownership, influence, and the opportunity to shape a product from the inside out.

What You’ll Work On

• Distributed systems powering blockchain‑backed workflows
• Data processing pipelines handling high‑volume secure transactions
• Infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment environments
• Identity, verification, and cryptographic components
• Scaling a SaaS product used by enterprise customers
• Rapid prototyping of new blockchain‑driven capabilities

Must‑Have Skills:

• Strong experience with Python
• Hands‑on experience with GCP (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Firestore, or similar)
• Experience building APIs, microservices, or backend‑heavy applications
• Familiarity with cloud‑native development and CI/CD
• Understanding of distributed systems, data flows, or high‑scalability environments

Nice to Have:

• Experience with blockchain technologies (smart contracts, cryptography, DLT frameworks)
• Experience with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Background working in SaaS or startup environments
• DevOps or SRE exposure
• Experience with event‑driven systems or messaging queues
