Scrum Master | Payments Programme | Contract

Solid Scrum Master opportunity on a large-scale payments modernisation programme — legacy platform being replaced with event-driven microservices on AWS. Multiple domain engineering teams building in parallel with real cross-team complexity.

This isn't a single-team ceremony role. You'll cover 2-3 teams directly and own cross-team dependency tracking across a tightly coupled programme. There's an Agile Coach already embedded, so you're not going it alone — but you will be expected to lead.

What the role actually involves:

• Running ceremonies across two domain teams + light-touch support for the platform team
• Owning dependency tracking — making blockers visible before they become problems
• Driving refinement discipline seriously (acceptance criteria, edge cases, sprint-ready stories — not optional extras here)
• Keeping boards honest and retrospectives meaningful
• Supporting newly formed teams as the programme scales

What they're looking for:

• Multi-team Scrum Master experience in a programme environment
• Strong refinement facilitation — working with POs and Tech Leads to turn vague requirements into well-defined stories
• Comfortable in technical environments without being a developer
• Practical, not dogmatic — delivery outcomes over framework compliance

Fin services or microservices/event-driven programme background is a plus but not essential.
