Position: Senior Backend Engineer (Golang / Distributed Systems)

Location: Híbrido (Lisboa/Porto/Fundão)

What You’ll Do:

You will be responsible for developing backend services in Golang, evolving distributed, microservices and event-driven architectures, and operating workloads in Kubernetes (K8s). The role also includes working with network integrations via backend APIs (including OSPF, VTI, and IPsec VPN), implementing security mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2, mTLS), and handling event processing with Kafka and RabbitMQ.

Ensure fault tolerance, resilience, scalability, and high availability, while driving observability through Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack. You will collaborate closely with DevOps teams on Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests, develop tooling in Python, run load testing using Locust, and integrate CI/CD pipelines. The role also includes contributions to AI-driven analytics and reporting solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

5+ years of experience;
Strong expertise in Golang (primary language) and Python;
Solid background in distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture;
Strong knowledge of Linux and networking fundamentals (OSI model, IP, UDP, Ethernet);
Experience with IPsec, OSPF, VTI, and security protocols (JWT, OAuth2, mTLS);
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and CI/CD pipelines;
Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
