Role Title: Business Data Analyst

Location: (Poland) - Krakow - 3 days a week, Contract B2B and Permanent(Full-time)

Core Data Skills

• Experience in analysing complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

• High proficiency in writing and understanding complex SQL

• Conducting data validation and ensuring data quality and integrity.

• Defining data quality checks

Data Discovery, Quality & Source Understanding

• Collaboration with other technology and business teams to review relevant initiatives and assess the impact to the team.

• Documentation of user process flows, constraints, logic, contexts and scenarios to ensure knowledge is built and retained

• Profile new and existing data sources to assess structure, content, quality, and readiness for consumption.

• Conduct detailed data investigations to uncover lineage, anomalies, and inconsistencies.

• Data quality check definitions and testing validation of datasets

Metadata Quality & Enhancement

• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Domain SMEs to document key data sets, tables, fields, and definitions.

• Perform metadata assessments to identify gaps in definitions, lineage, and classifications.

• Define and maintain business metadata (e.g., glossary terms, KPIs, categorizations) and technical metadata (e.g., data types, source systems).

• Support the enrichment of metadata via manual investigation and collaboration across teams.

• Contribute to data catalogue across external and internal sources

Data Modelling & Structure

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of logical and physical data models, especially for curated data layers (e.g., semantic models and gold data products).

• Recommend improvements to data schema design for analytical performance, standardization, and ease of use.

• Provide ad-hoc analysis to support discovery-led initiatives, data migrations, or governance projects.

Other responsibilities

• Support the Product Manager by actively contributing to the delivery of the outcomes set for the product area.

• Support business teams during the UAT phase and post-production with any business queries or data analysis.

• Support Engineering team in design based on the understanding of the data.
