YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is open to candidates who can be based in or work from our Casablanca, Cairo, Algiers, Ankara and Istanbul locations.

Visionary

• Strategic Advisor: Serve as a key advisor and subject matter expert on security matters, providing insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Value Creation: Ensure that the security community is focused on value-creating security-related activities that align with business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Incident Reporting Advocacy: Promote adherence to the company’s security incident reporting policy and lead initiatives to increase the reporting rate of security incidents through dedicated channels.

Architect

• Strategic Advisor: Oversee all security operations within the organization, create relevant policies / procedures, ensuring effective implementation and execution of security strategies.
• Risk Mitigation Development: Develop and support the implementation of security risk mitigation measures, ensuring effective utilization of resources and CGS expertise for security-related projects.
• Risk Management Coordination: Coordinate, support, and enable the physical security risk management process, advising risk owners on the implementation of security protocols and procedures.
• Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct Security Vulnerability Assessments and assist in the Site Security Risk Assessment process, identifying appropriate risk treatment options. Provides accurate data to CGS to support global site security governance requirements (SMT).
• Health and Safety Coordination: Coordinate the implementation of Health and Safety requirements and management systems across the MENAT region, steering safety performance monitoring, incident oversight, and cross-functional alignment with local health and safety experts and contacts, Facilities, HR, Business teams. Act as single point of contact to Health and Safety international organization in the context of crisis for all occupational health and safety related matters.

Catalyst

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of security professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure effective execution of security operations.
• Threat Assessment Coordination: Coordinate the identification and assessment of relevant security threats to company assets and personnel, keeping stakeholders informed and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Crisis Management Support: Support and enhance crisis management activities, ensuring preparedness and response plans are in place. Member of the CMT and act as focal point during times of unrest.
• Intelligence Deployment: Ensure that CGS intelligence capabilities are effectively utilized to provide timely, relevant, and actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Travel Security Program: Support the Travel Security Risk Management Program, defining travel security advisories in consultation with CGS and assisting in emergency well-being checks and evacuations. Direct stakeholders to the Country Travel Advisory Information to obtain travel insights for business trips.
• Event Security Management: Collaborate with event organizers to manage security risks during company events.
• Culture: Drive and coordinate regional initiatives to strengthen safety culture, risk awareness, and sustainable working environments, ensuring alignment with group and country EHS, environmental, and social commitments while reinforcing local ownership and accountability.

Coach

• Training and Onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding and training of employees with security responsibilities, fostering a culture of security awareness.
• Supplier Management: Support the supplier selection and management process for security service providers, ensuring compliance with human rights protection standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate external security-related stakeholder engagement activities, building strong relationships with key partners and community members.

WHO YOU ARE

• 5 + years of experience in a security related field: corporate security, private security, law enforcement, military, or national security.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree is essential, though relevant working experience may be considered an equivalent.
• Knowledge of and experience in security risk management, security operations, and incident management.
• Knowledge or strong understanding of occupational Health and Safety overall requirements, risk evaluation and mitigation measures
• Ability to navigate a matrixed organization and influence without direct authority.
• Proven experience in large multicultural community management
• Strong collaborative skills, with a focus on VACC Leadership Skills.
