Full Stack Developer – E-commerce Platform

About US:

We are looking for a highly skilled and accountable Full Stack Developer to join our growing tech team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in modern frontend frameworks, PHP-based backend systems (Bagisto preferred), cloud infrastructure (AWS), and e-commerce platforms.

You will play a critical role in building, optimizing, and scaling FunkySouq’s marketplace ecosystem across web and mobile platforms, ensuring high performance, reliability, and seamless user experience.

This role requires close collaboration with Product Managers and Business Analysts, ensuring that business requirements are translated into scalable and efficient technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using:

1. Frontend: Next.js, React.js
2. Backend: PHP (Laravel preferred)

• Build reusable, modular, and high-performance components
• Ensure clean architecture and adherence to coding standards

E-commerce Platform Development

• Work on marketplace features such as:

1. Product listing & catalog management
2. Variant handling (size, color, SKU mapping)
3. Inventory management & sync
4. Order lifecycle (creation → fulfillment → returns)
5. Payment gateway integrations (COD, online payments, BNPL)

• Optimize PDP, search, filters, and checkout flows for performance and conversion
•  Implement multi-vendor marketplace logic (seller panel, commissions, settlements)

Backend & System Architecture

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices
• Work with Bagisto framework for:

1. Custom module development
2. Extension optimization
3. Core overrides where required

• Ensure system scalability and performance optimization

Mobile App Development

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native
• Integrate mobile apps with backend APIs
• Ensure consistency between web and mobile experiences

5. Database Management

• Design, optimize, and maintain MySQL databases
• Handle:

1. Query optimization
2. Indexing strategies
3. Data integrity and consistency

• Work with large-scale product and order datasets efficiently

6. Cloud & DevOps

• Deploy and manage applications on AWS

1. EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, etc.

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and scalability
• Handle deployments, rollbacks, and environment management

7. Integrations

• Work on third-party integrations such as:

1. WMS
2. OMS / Marketplace integrations
3. Payment gateways
4. Logistics & shipping APIs

• Implement webhook-based and API-driven integrations

8. Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with:

1. Product Manager → Feature planning & prioritization
2. Business Analyst → Requirement understanding (BRD/FRD)

• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and delivery
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks with high quality

9. Performance & Optimization

• Improve page load speed and system performance
• Optimize:

1. Search functionality (Elasticsearch preferred)
2. API response times
3. Frontend rendering

• Ensure SEO-friendly architecture for e-commerce pages

10. Quality & Governance

• Follow structured SDLC processes
• Maintain documentation in Jira / Confluence
• Ensure proper testing and bug resolution before deployment
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in:

1. Next.js / React.js
2. PHP (Laravel preferred)
3. React Native

• Solid understanding of:

1. REST APIs & microservices
2. MySQL database design
3. AWS services
4. CI/CD pipelines

E-commerce Experience (Mandatory)

·      Hands-on experience with:

o  Product catalog systems

o  SKU & variant management

o  Inventory & order workflows

o  Payment and shipping integrations

·     Experience working with marketplace models (multi-vendor) is highly preferred

Other Requirements

·      Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

·      Experience working in fast-paced startup environments

·      Ability to take ownership and deliver independently

·      Good understanding of system design and scalability

Preferred Qualifications

·      Experience with Bagisto framework

·      Knowledge of Elasticsearch / advanced search systems
