Key Responsibilities
- As our DBA, you will play a central role in shaping and strengthening the database foundation of Eye‑share:
- Manage, optimize, and scale database clusters in public cloud environments.
- Monitor database performance, health, and capacity — ensuring stable operations for our SaaS customers.
- Maintain and continuously improve backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with developers on schema design, indexing strategies, and performance improvements.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, access control, privacy requirements, and internal cloud governance.
- Automate provisioning, maintenance, and scaling to support a growing customer base.
- Maintain dashboards, alerts, and KPIs for proactive monitoring.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and guide incident resolution when performance or availability is impacted.
- 3–7+ years of experience as a DBA or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong skills in performance tuning and advanced troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of replication, sharding, failover mechanisms, and high-availability architectures.
- Experience with cloud-hosted relational databases and/or NoSQL systems.
- We believe you will thrive with us if you are:
- Confident, proactive, and collaborative in your way of working.
- Comfortable taking ownership and driving structure in a complex environment.
- Skilled in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communicating technical matters clearly.
- Experience with SaaS platforms, distributed systems, or high-traffic applications.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies — mindset may compensate for experience.
- Work with a leading Nordic SaaS product used by companies across industries.
- Influence how our database landscape evolves and scales as we grow.
- Join a friendly, skilled, and forward‑thinking engineering organization.
- Contribute to high-impact modernization initiatives across the Eye‑share platform.
