The Mission

We're looking for an intermediate to senior Android developer who takes pride in writing clean, performant, production-ready code. You'll work closely with our architecture team and directly on wealth tech platforms used by some of Canada's biggest financial institutions.

What You'll Build

• Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications using Jetpack Compose, delivering institutional-grade reliability with consumer-grade polish
• Own end-to-end feature delivery, coordinating with backend and product teams to ensure seamless integration with APIs, payment systems, and third-party platforms
• Contribute to and uphold strong architectural patterns—your code will set the standard for the team
• Write production Kotlin daily—this isn't a hands-off role; you'll be deep in the codebase building and shipping
• Debug complex issues across devices, OS versions, and network conditions to deliver flawless user experiences
• Champion Android best practices around performance, security, accessibility, and offline functionality
• Participate in code reviews, share knowledge with teammates, and continuously raise the bar on quality

What You Bring to the Table

The Must-Haves

• 3–6+ years of Android development experience—you've shipped apps that real users love and depend on
• Deep expertise in Jetpack Compose and Kotlin—you're comfortable with modern Android UI development and understand the transition from the legacy View system
• Solid architectural thinking—you understand MVVM, Clean Architecture, and how to structure apps that scale and stay maintainable
• API integration experience—you've built apps that communicate with RESTful services, handle authentication flows, and manage complex data synchronization
• Performance awareness—you know how to profile, optimize, and deliver smooth, responsive experiences
• Security mindset—you understand Android security best practices, secure storage, certificate pinning, and what it takes to protect sensitive financial data
• Strong communicator—you can articulate technical decisions clearly and translate product requirements into solid engineering solutions
• Self-driven and remote-ready—you thrive with autonomy and know how to stay productive and connected while working independently
