# Job Summary:

This is a Scrum Master I contract position supporting a new Agile Scale practice area at a Big 5 bank. You will provide pod support to 2 pods initially, each consisting of 15 onshore and offshore team members. The role requires immediate onboarding and the ability to hit the ground running while supporting multiple pods simultaneously. You will spend 2-3 hours per day on average in meetings and will interact with both internal and external stakeholders. Extension and conversion to permanent employment are possible based on business needs and performance.

# Key Responsibilities:

• Support 2 pods to start, with 15 people in each pod
• Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Remove impediments and blockers for team members
• Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles and practices
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment
• Track sprint progress and communicate status to leadership
• Maintain and update project documentation in Jira and Confluence
• Support both onshore and offshore team members

# Education Requirements:

• University degree required (Engineering or Computer Science is an asset)
• CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or PSM (Professional Scrum Master) certification required

# Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of Scrum Master experience
• Ability to work with and support multiple pods at once

# Nice-to-Have Experience:

• Previous banking experience
• Safe Scrum Master certification
• Clarity experience

# Required Skills:

• CSM or PSM certification
• Jira and Confluence experience
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong ability to multitask
• Very organized and strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

# Preferred Skills:

• Safe Scrum Master certification

# Disqualifiers:

• Lots of short contracts (less than 6 months)
• Job hopping
