Senior Product Manager-Search

We are looking for a strategic and driven Senior Product Manager to own Search across Snoonu's super app. Search is a shared, cross-vertical service — powering discovery across food, groceries, and every category on the platform. You will be the single owner of our search infrastructure, working at the intersection of relevance engineering, UX, and business performance to ensure customers find exactly what they're looking for, every time.

🛠 What You’ll Get Your Hands On

• Own the Search product end-to-end — define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Snoonu's shared search service, used across all verticals (food, grocery, retail, and beyond).
• Drive relevance and discovery — continuously improve ranking logic, query understanding, and search pipelines to maximize result quality and conversion.
• Lead cross-vertical collaboration — act as the central point of contact between vertical product teams, engineering, data, and design to ensure search serves the needs of every business line without fragmentation.
• Experiment relentlessly — design and run A/B tests on ranking strategies, UI treatments, and query understanding to make evidence-based improvements to relevance and findability.
• Define and track search KPIs — own metrics such as zero-result rate, click-through rate, search-to-order conversion, and query abandonment; use them to diagnose issues and prioritize the roadmap.
• Manage the search platform — oversee index architecture, faceting strategy, personalization features, and API integrations; coordinate with engineering on ingestion pipelines and real-time catalog syncs.
• Translate business needs into search logic — work with commercial and ops teams to support merchandising, promotions, and vendor-boosting use cases within the relevance framework.
• Stakeholder communication — articulate search performance and strategic direction clearly to senior leadership and vertical teams alike.
• Mentor and scale — share search product expertise across the broader PM team and help establish best practices for experimentation and data-driven iteration.
  
  

🧙‍♂️ The Magic You Bring

• Experience: 5+ years in product management, with meaningful experience owning a search, discovery, or catalog product.
• Search platform expertise: Hands-on experience configuring and managing an enterprise search platform — including relevance tuning, indexing strategies, and personalization features.
• Search domain knowledge: Solid understanding of information retrieval concepts — ranking, NLP, tokenization, synonyms, faceted search, and merchandising rules.
• Data-driven: Proficient in analyzing search analytics, running A/B tests, and translating funnel metrics into product decisions.
• Cross-functional operator: Proven ability to manage a shared platform used by multiple teams with competing priorities — strong stakeholder management and clear prioritization frameworks.
• Agile Expertise: Strong background in Agile practices and Scrum methodologies.
• Communication Skills: Able to convey complex relevance concepts to both technical engineers and non-technical business stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-moving, multi-vertical environment where requirements evolve quickly.
• Educational Background: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management, or a related field.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is a plus.
