Application Engineer

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience signing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and reliable web applications using Java, Spring Boot and Angular.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in building cloud service using cloud frameworks like Google Cloud or cloud computing platform.
• Experience in enterprise software development.
• Ability to understand how people interface with Web UI and drive user centered design.
• Ability to work across the front-end design process including user research, UX/UI Design and front-end implementation.

You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. Responsibilities

• Write clear, modular, well-structured, and self-sustaining codes, and develop overall systems design, research, and evaluate vendor supplied applications, and develop recommendations on those applications.
• Build internal solutions, with custom front-end and back-end services with minimal assistance, and identify processes and solutions to ensure control compliance can be enforced and monitored.
• Help design, build, and deploy internal business applications to support Google’s technology life-cycle, collaboration and spaces, service delivery management, and data and business intelligence.
