Our Inventory Optimization team is looking for a new Data Analyst based in Lille or Paris.
The Inventory Optimization team, part of the Data Supply Chain, is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of innovative analytical and Artificial Intelligence solutions around supply chain use cases such as multi-echelon demand forecasting, target stock estimation, or shortage management, to name a few. You will work within a multidisciplinary team composed of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Analytics Engineers, and ML Engineers, working in an agile manner and in close proximity with our Product and Engineering contacts as well as our business users.

As a Data Analyst, you will serve as a key link between the data teams and the supply chain business teams, supporting them in making strategic decisions through data.
Your Responsibilities
You will interact with business contacts and operational teams to acquire a better understanding of the problems you are working on.
You will develop appropriate data solutions by being proactive and respecting their constraints, while maintaining a solid understanding of existing analyses and tools.
You will identify the data necessary for your analysis and ensure its quality and reliability. You will clean and prepare the data before applying the statistical and analytical methods you choose. (Note: You respect and promote the ethical framework for the use of personal data.)

Your Responsibilities Are Varied
- Analyze the performance of Decathlon's Downstream and Upstream Supply Chain, particularly concerning target stock estimation.
- Support business teams and provide proactive analyses and recommendations.
- Provide impactful analyses (insights) and solid recommendations to guide business decisions.
- Help business contacts (stakeholders) develop their data skills and act as a relay between them and other data teams.
The Technical Environment
- Languages: SQL, Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn)
- BI Tools: Tableau
- Data Engineering: dbt, Databricks, Spark
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP
- Versioning & DevOps: Git, CI/CD, VSCode
- Experience: 3+ years in Data Analysis with a solid expertise in SQL and data visualization.
- Business understanding: You understand supply chain concepts, particularly stock optimization and demand forecasting. You know how to transform business needs into well-defined problems and concrete (actionable) recommendations.
- Analytical mindset: You have a great ability to structure analysis and interpret relevant lessons (insights).
- Collaborative spirit: You are comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams (business, data, product, governance).
- Proactive & curious: You enjoy exploring new solutions and continuously improving analysis methods.
- Languages: You have a professional command of English.
- A team of sports and data enthusiasts;
- 2 days of remote work per week;
