Scrum Master (Contract) – Payments Transformation Programme

Location: Fully Onsite

Rate: €97,000 per annum OR €485 per day

Contract: 12 months (with strong potential for extension)

Client: Leading global payments technology organisation

Our client is undergoing a major transformation—modernising payments through an AI-first engineering approach. This includes moving from a legacy platform to event-driven microservices on AWS, with multiple engineering teams working in parallel.

They are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support 2–3 teams in a fast-paced, highly interconnected environment where managing cross-team dependencies is critical to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies across 2 domain teams (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives)
• Manage cross-team dependencies, ensuring blockers are visible and resolved quickly
• Drive strong refinement practices to ensure sprint-ready, well-defined stories
• Maintain accurate boards and backlogs, reflecting real-time progress and risks
• Support team setup, continuous improvement, and alignment with programme-wide delivery practices

What They’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master across multiple teams in complex programmes
• Strong facilitation skills, especially in backlog refinement and story definition
• Experience supporting newly formed teams and establishing effective ways of working
• Comfortable working with technical teams and navigating delivery challenges
• Pragmatic, outcome-focused mindset with a focus on delivery over process
