Senior Microsoft Entra & M365 Security Engineer (Purview & Copilot)

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Entra & M365 Security Engineer to design and deploy secure, compliant Microsoft Cloud solutions across a complex, multi-tenant enterprise environment.

This role focuses on identity security, data governance, compliance, and the secure deployment of emerging Microsoft technologies, including Copilot.

You will play a key role in strengthening the organisation's security posture while enabling modern, AI-driven productivity capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Identity & Security Engineering

• Design and implement Microsoft Entra ID security architecture
• Develop Conditional Access strategies aligned to Zero Trust principles
• Implement identity governance, access reviews, and lifecycle management

Security, Compliance & Data Governance

• Implement Microsoft 365 security best practices across identity, data, and endpoints
• Administer Microsoft Purview for compliance, retention, and eDiscovery
• Implement data protection strategies including DLP and information protection
• Support regulatory and audit requirements across the organisation

Copilot Deployment & Governance

• Deploy Microsoft Copilot solutions within enterprise environments
• Define governance, security controls, and usage policies
• Work with business stakeholders to enable safe and effective adoption

Risk & Security Posture Improvement

• Identify and mitigate security risks across the Microsoft estate
• Contribute to continuous improvement of enterprise security frameworks
• Support incident response and security investigations where required

Automation & Engineering

• Develop automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API
• Implement scalable, secure configurations across tenants

Required Experience

• Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID and enterprise IAM
• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview
• Experience implementing Zero Trust and Conditional Access strategies
• Experience deploying Copilot or similar AI productivity tools
• Strong PowerShell scripting capability

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated or highly governed environments
• Azure security and infrastructure exposure
• Experience contributing to enterprise security strategy
